Travelling GIEFF

Since several years our festival films are travelling through Germany and the world, occasionally they are shown at conferences or in seminars at  universities, sometimes also at local cultural events.

We have the aim to make the films known and to offer people who were not able to attend the festival the opportunity to participate in discussions on ethnographic and documentary filmmaking, particularly on filming cultural and social processes.

2026 we had the following Travelling GIEFF events:

Restitution, Provenance and Decolonial Approaches in Transcultural Collaboration (Ethnography Museum Berlin)

Vienna Ethnographic Film Days (Webster Vienna Private University)
